Job summary

Aspens Services is a market-leading contract caterer specialising in school food. We are seeking a Catering Assistant to support our kitchen with basic food preparation and to deliver excellent service during the lunchtime rush in Worle.

You will work 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday during term time, with training provided. The rate is £12.71 per hour, and all staff are subject to safeguarding and an enhanced DBS disclosure.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer interaction: Working on tills during service (training provided).
• Front-line service: Providing friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Essential support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining standards: Ensuring a safe, clean kitchen environment and complying with Health and Safety.
