Job summary

Stirling Council is seeking a Catering Assistant to join the school catering team at St Ninians Primary School. The role is 12.5 hours per week, term-time, and involves food preparation, basic cooking and service with a focus on kitchen hygiene and safety.

Training will be provided; PVG check for children is required. Flexible working is possible where role allows, with options for hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering is not essential; on-the-job training provided.
• PVG check for children required after shortlisting/interview.
• Part-time, term-time post with permanent contract.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food and basic cooking for school meals.
• Serve meals and maintain kitchen hygiene.
• Adhere to Food Safety Act and Health & Safety at Work Act.
• Assist with other catering duties as required.
