Job Opportunity: Agency Cleaners and Kitchen Assistants

Berry Recruitment Darlington is seeking to register agency cleaners and kitchen assistants for temporary roles within schools in Catterick and surrounding areas.

These roles are flexible, suitable for candidates looking to supplement their hours or seeking part-time work.

Working Hours

Generally between 9:30 am - 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

1. Hoovering and mopping floors
2. Cleaning toilets
3. Cleaning classrooms and staff rooms
4. Emptying bins
5. Dusting and wiping down surfaces
6. Sanitising touch points such as door handles and light switches
7. Sanitising desk areas
8. Prepping food
9. Washing pots
10. Cleaning kitchen surfaces
11. Serving food

Qualifications and Preferences

Previous cleaning or kitchen experience is preferred. A driving licence and own transport are advantageous but not essential.

Pay

£12.21 per hour, paid weekly in arrears via Berry Recruitment.

Requirements

• Current Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (£13/year) or willingness to pay £59.50 for processing.
• Completion of online training in Food Hygiene, Safeguarding, and Keeping Children Safe in Education.
