Longdon Park School is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to maintain our site and support a safe, welcoming environment for students with complex needs. You’ll join a committed team at a specialist setting, focusing on practical maintenance, repairs, and safety across two sites.

We value proactive, independent workers who take pride in high standards and reliability. The role offers a permanent contract, 40 hours per week, and a salary of £27,560 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or caretaking roles within a school or similar environment.
• Practical, proactive, and able to work independently with good attention to detail.
• A valid driving licence is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the school site, buildings and grounds to a high standard.
• Carry out repairs, maintenance and general DIY tasks.
• Perform health and safety checks and support site compliance.
• Open/secure and monitor the school premises.
• Support site improvement and development projects.
• Ensure learning environments are safe, clean and ready for use.
