Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting a School Caretaker in Stockport, SK4. The role involves supporting the day-to-day running of the school site, maintenance, site checks and basic repairs to ensure a safe, clean environment for staff and pupils.

Applicants must have school/site caretaker experience and hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service. DBS Update Service is essential for consideration. Full-time school-based role with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Previous school/site caretaker experience required.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure the school site as required.
• Complete daily site, security and health and safety checks.
• Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance.
• Monitor the condition of the building, grounds and facilities.
• Support contractors and maintenance visits when needed.
• Respond to site issues and report larger repairs.
• Assist with moving equipment, furniture and deliveries.
• Maintain safe access routes and external areas.
• Follow safeguarding, security and health and safety procedures.
