Job summary

North Star 82° is seeking a Site Assistant on a permanent basis to keep the school safe, welcoming and running smoothly. Youll support the Estates Team with day-to-day building maintenance, security, grounds upkeep and caretaking across the site.

A background in trades, reliable work ethic and the ability to work on your own initiative are key. DBS checks are required due to responsibility around pupils.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in building maintenance or related trades.
• Experience with basic plumbing, electrics or carpentry is helpful.
• Gardening or grounds maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• General DIY & maintenance including repairs and basic building tasks.
• Security duties: locking up, setting alarms, site security.
• Grounds checks and safety tasks like fire alarms and water testing.
• Supervise and assist cleaners, contractors, and move furniture as needed.
