Christ Church Primary in Bradford-on-Avon seeks a dedicated Caretaker to maintain security, buildings and grounds. You will work closely with the School Business Manager to ensure smooth daily operations and provide a well-resourced site for pupils and staff.

The role requires a proactive, flexible individual who can perform routine repairs, safety checks, and seasonal duties while upholding high standards of hygiene and records management. 37 hours weekly on permanent basis.

Qualifications

• Experience in routine building maintenance is desirable.
• Ability to follow safety and procedural guidelines.
• Willingness to work with external contractors for major work.
• Flexible, proactive and reliable.

Responsabilités

• Ensure site security and boundary management with daily checks and alarm responsiveness.
• Carry out minor repairs, painting, plumbing and carpentry; escalate major tasks to contractors.
• Lead on health and safety tasks, including fire alarm tests and emergency lighting checks.
• Manage seasonal duties such as gritting, gutter clearing and deliveries.
• Maintain cleaning supplies, stock cloakrooms, and perform weekly hall-cleaning duties.
• Keep accurate maintenance schedules and liaise with the School Business Manager.
