Job summary

Lark Hill Primary School in Stockport is seeking a proactive School Caretaker to maintain a safe, well‑kept environment. The role covers building and grounds maintenance, security, cleaning, and general DIY tasks.

Working 37 hours per week on a split shift, 6am to 6pm some evenings for lettings; duties include opening/closing the premises and responding to health and safety concerns. The post is temporary for 12 months.

Qualifications

• Good range of skills including building and grounds maintenance, general DIY, security and cleaning.
• Reliable and resourceful with health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the school is well maintained, safe and secure.
• Interact professionally with children, parents, staff, visitors and contractors.
• Be willing to open/close the school for lettings in the evening when required; stay later for governor meetings if needed.
