Job summary

Polaris Education in Kinver, Stourbridge, is seeking a School Caretaker to maintain a clean and secure school environment. The role fixes, cleans and oversees maintenance tasks across the premises and supports cleaning staff under the Headteacher.

The position offers security duties, safety checks, and a focus on ensuring a safe learning environment for pupils aged 5-16 with a holistic approach to wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Previous property maintenance or caretaking experience within a school environment is preferred.
• Good knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with children and young people with SEMH needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe and secure school premises, including building and grounds.
• Carry out cleaning, general maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Supervise school cleaning staff and promote health and safety.
