Job summary

Mitie is seeking a School Caretaker to deliver excellent service standards at Oakwood Primary School in Leeds. You will help maintain the school premises in a clean, safe condition, and follow Mitie’s policies and cleaning schedules to support daily operations.

This permanent, full-time role involves 20 hours per week at a location in Leeds, with responsibilities including unlock/lock duties, helpdesk responses, porterage and room setups, and routine safety checks, all while adhering to

Qualifications

• Previous caretaking experience (preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
