Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a School Caretaker at the Wooldale Centre for Learning in Northampton. This permanent, full-time role offers 40 hours per week with a shift pattern of 6.00am - 2.30pm or 12.30pm - 9.00pm, and an hourly rate of pay of £13.85.

You will deliver service standards, support cleaning schedules, and maintain security and safety of the school premises. Responsibilities include training adherence, responding to helpdesk requests, door/room access, and carrying out PPM tasks

Qualifications

• Previous caretaking experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policy
• Ensure maintenance is completed in a timely manner and the security and safety of the school premises and grounds are observed at all times.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use if required.
• Reliability is critical to this role

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Open, honest, self-driven, and determined.
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality, with willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

We're looking for a School Caretaker who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules. Hourly Rate of Pay: £ 13.85 Position Type: Permanent Employment Type: Full Time Total Weekly Contractual Hours: 40 hours Shift Pattern: 6.00am - 2.30pm / 12.30pm - 9.00pm (2 x early - 1 late) Location: Wooldale Centre for Learning, Wooldale Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England NN4 6TP
