Job summary

Integra People Limited is recruiting a School Caretaker for a part-time role at a Harpenden school. The role involves keeping the premises safe, clean and well maintained, opening and closing the site, and assisting with general caretaking duties.

DBS checks will be required as part of safeguarding. You will work Monday to Friday with earlier and late shifts, contributing to a welcoming learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaking, maintenance or facilities preferred.
• DBS checks including enhanced DBS are required.
• Ability to work independently with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the school premises are safe, secure and well maintained.
• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs where required.
• Opening and closing the school premises as needed.
• Ensuring classrooms, corridors and communal areas are tidy and presentable.

• Ideally have previous caretaking, maintenance or facilities experience.

As this role is based within a school, the successful candidate will be required to undertake the relevant pre‑employment and safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check, as applicable.
