This thriving secondary school is seeking an enthusiastic Caretaker to join their dedicated team.

Your new role

As a school Caretaker, you will be expected to ensure that the school is kept safe, secure and clean. You will be responsible for:

1. Locking and unlocking the buildings as required.
2. Dealing efficiently with planned maintenance.
3. Undertaking minor repairs to fixtures and fittings.
4. Monitoring the premises for any hazards, carrying out repairs and reporting problems.
5. Carry out any additional duties as required by the Head.

What you’ll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role you will need to have:

• Good problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety, hygiene and security procedures.
• Ability to communicate well.
• Physically fit/ active for any lifting.
• Basic DIY skills.
• Ability to manage your own workload/ day.
• You will need to be flexible and reliable.
