Job summary

Academics Ltd is recruiting a reliable and hands-on School Caretaker for a busy secondary school in Bexleyheath. You will help keep buildings and grounds safe, secure, clean and well maintained, providing a welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

Key duties include opening/closing, daily security checks, general maintenance, setting up rooms for events, and liaising with contractors. DBS check required or willingness to undergo the DBS process.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caretaking, premises or facilities.
• Good practical and general maintenance skills.
• A reliable, proactive and hands-on approach.
• A good understanding of health and safety.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous school experience would be advantageous.
• A valid DBS or willingness to undergo a DBS check.

School Caretaker - Secondary School

Location: Bexleyheath
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Academics are currently recruiting for a reliable and hands‑on School Caretaker to join a busy secondary school in Bexleyheath.

As a School Caretaker, you will play an important role in keeping the school buildings and grounds safe, secure, clean and well maintained, helping to provide a welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

• Undertaking general maintenance and minor repairs
• Ensuring the school site is safe, clean and well presented
