Job summary

Academics is recruiting for a reliable School Caretaker to join a busy secondary school in Bexleyheath. You will help keep buildings and grounds safe, secure, clean and well maintained, creating a welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

This full-time position starts ASAP. Duties include opening and securing the site, daily security checks, minor repairs and setting up rooms for activities. A DBS check is required or applicants must be willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caretaking, premises or facilities.
• Good practical and general maintenance skills.
• Reliable, proactive and hands-on approach.
• A good understanding of health and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• DBS check required or willing to undergo DBS.
• Previous school experience would be advantageous.

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

As a School Caretaker, you will play an important role in keeping the school buildings and grounds safe, secure, clean and well maintained, helping to provide a welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

• Undertaking general maintenance and minor repairs
• Ensuring the school site is safe, clean and well presented

The Ideal Candidate
