Key responsibilities include:

1. Building Repairs and General Maintenance:
   • Perform minor repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, or furniture (e.g., fixing leaking taps, light bulbs, or broken desks).
   • Check and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
   • Report major repairs and maintenance needs to the school administration.
2. Security and Safety:
   • Lock and unlock school doors, gates, and windows as per the school’s schedule.
   • Ensure fire exits and emergency doors are clear and accessible.
   • Monitor and report any safety hazards (e.g., slippery floors or broken equipment) to ensure student and staff safety.
3. Litter Picking and Grounds Maintenance:
   • Clean the school’s exterior grounds, including pathways, playgrounds, and car parks.
   • Mow the lawn, trim hedges, and clear leaves and debris from outdoor areas.
4. Setting Up and Moving Furniture:
   • Assist in setting up rooms for school events, assemblies, or meetings.
   • Move furniture or equipment as needed for activities or events.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment, techniques, and chemicals.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and repair tasks.
• Good organizational skills and time management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify problems.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physically capable of performing manual tasks (e.g., lifting, bending).
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Previous experience in a caretaker or janitorial role is preferred but not essential.

Working hours:

• 13:30 - 21:00
• Must have a full clean driving license and be confident in driving mini buses.
