Job summary

Eani's school catering unit in Ballyclare is seeking a proactive Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor to support daily operations, ensuring a hygienic, customer-focused service for pupils and staff and promoting sales within the unit.

You will report to the Catering Manager via the Area Catering Manager, supervise meal preparation and service, set dining areas, maintain records (temperatures), and ensure compliance with Acts, Codes of Practice, and school values.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Basic preparation of food and beverages, including vegetables and snacks using appropriate equipment.
• Simple cooking, including reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organising and controlling food service points.
• Transferring and serving meals and snacks including transported meals.
• Assisting with promotion of meals to pupils, parents and principal.
• Maintaining regular contact with central kitchen regarding service delivery.
• Preparing the dining area: set dining tables and serving points, lay out cutlery and water jugs.
• Completing general kitchen and dining room duties including washing up and clearing away equipment.
• Cleaning the kitchen/servery, dining room and equipment including floors and walls.
