Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd. is hiring a Catering Assistant to support school kitchens during the busy lunchtimes. You will join a friendly team, handle tills during service, and help with basic food preparation while ensuring safety and cleanliness.

We offer training, a structured school-term schedule (Mon-Fri), 17.5 hours per week for 38 weeks per year, and opportunities for growth through our Learning & Development programs.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required beyond willingness to train.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred but not essential.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Customer interaction: Working on the tills during service with full training provided.
• Front-line service: Providing friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Essential support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining standards: Ensuring a safe, clean kitchen and health and safety compliance.
