Prospere Learning Trust's MEA Central invites applications for a Catering Assistant. Based at MEA Central in South Manchester, you will help prepare, serve and present meals for students and staff in a busy school catering service.

The role is 10 hours per week during term time (12.30pm–2.30pm) with 5 INSET days; starting salary £6,393 with a full-time equivalent of £26,016. You will join a friendly team committed to high hygiene standards and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and service (school or catering experience desirable).
• Reliable, enthusiastic and a great team player.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Works efficiently while maintaining high hygiene standard.

Responsibilities

• Preparing food, making sandwiches and operating tills.
• Assist with the setting up and serving of meals.
• Cleaning kitchen equipment and dining furniture.
• Ensuring compliance with Food Hygiene and COSHH regulations.
• Providing excellent customer service to students and staff.
