Job summary

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in London is seeking a Band 3 Multi-Therapy Assistant to join the Paddock school therapy team. The role supports the therapists in delivering speech and language and occupational therapy services to pupils and includes admin tasks and resource making.

You will help run targeted groups and 1:1 sessions, model therapy strategies for school staff, coordinate liaison with parents and other health professionals, and provide administrative support.

Responsibilities

• Supporting our SLT team to provide a speech and language therapy service
• Supporting our OT team to provide occupational therapy service
• Modelling therapy and strategies for education staff
• Supporting school staff to set up and run targeted groups and specialist 1:1 sessions for specific students
• Supporting school staff to become a communication friendly environment
• Providing administrative support to the therapists
• Making visual (and other) resources to support the pupils
• Attending team meetings and frequently liaise with other members of the team
• Receiving calls from parents and schools
• Arranging visits from other health professionals e.g. physiotherapists
