Job summary

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust’s Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Service is hiring a Band 6 therapist to support school-aged caseloads across special schools and mainstream pathways. You’ll split your week between Watergate Special School and the mainstream core/traded pathway, providing universal, targeted and specialist support.

You will receive comprehensive induction, regular clinical supervision, and a buddy system to support your transition into the team.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
• HCPC Licence to Practice.
• Registration with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to Therapies Manager.
• Contribute to School Aged team development and new ways of working.
• Assess, diagnose, manage and evaluate outcomes for children with speech, language and communication needs.
• Develop a special area of interest within the clinical caseload.
• Create, implement and evaluate specialist teaching packages.
