Job summary

Valence School is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our specialist school therapy team, delivering high quality SLT in an educational setting. You will work within an MDT to support children and young people with complex communication needs, embedding strategies into daily routines and contributing to EHCP processes.

This role is 30 hours per week, term-time, with flexibility on hours.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist with post-qualification experience.
• Experience supporting children/young people with complex communication needs.
• Strong assessment and intervention skills with clinical reasoning.
• Willingness to undertake dysphagia training if required.
• Experience in an educational setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, evidence-based SLT to students.
• Assess, intervene and support students with complex needs.
• Manage a defined caseload and contribute to EHCP processes.
• Embed communication strategies into daily practice with MDT.
