Job summary

Orbis Education & Care is seeking a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Cardiff and Swansea. The role is term-time only, offering 37.5 hours weekly across 41 weeks per year with pro rata salary £35,481–£39,423 (FTE £45k–£50k).

You will deliver assessments, manage a diverse caseload, and coach staff in effective communication strategies. We value training delivery, staff development and collaboration across education, care and therapy colleagues.

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech & Language Therapist with HCPC registration.
• Experience working with autistic pupils and complex needs.
• Ability to train, coach and develop staff in communication strategies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention for pupils with complex communication needs.
• Manage a varied caseload across Cardiff and Swansea schools.
• Provide consultation and staff training to embed communication support across school life.
• Lead and promote communication-friendly environments in our schools.
