Job summary

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join the Hillingdon mainstream schools team. You will provide direct therapy to children in schools, conduct specialist assessments, and work with staff and families to implement therapy plans.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, supervision, and participation in audits and service development, with occasional remote work within a shared caseload.

Qualifications

• Recognised SLT degree qualification and HCPC registration.
• RCST membership or equivalent professional recognition.
• 2:1 honours or equivalent in SLT-related studies.
• Additional training relevant to the post.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist SLT services to children in mainstream schools.
• Deliver specialist assessments, diagnoses and therapy packages in schools.
• Train and support school staff and parents to implement therapy advice.
• Prioritise safeguarding of vulnerable children at all times.
• Contribute to audits, projects and clinical working groups.
• Provide buddying and formal supervision for less experienced staff.
