Job summary

Horizon Teachers is supporting a well-regarded North London secondary special school seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join its in-house therapy team and work with students aged 11–19.

Therapists are embedded as full staff members across classrooms and the curriculum. The role involves assessments, reports, and delivering targeted interventions, with training for teachers and support staff.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is essential and RCSLT membership preferred.
• A degree in Speech and Language Therapy is required.
• Experience in paediatric education or SEN setting is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Hold a caseload of students aged 11–19 with speech and language needs.
• Carry out assessments and write practical reports for EHCP and annual reviews.
• Plan and deliver individual and small group interventions; model strategies in class.
