Job summary

Hampshire County Council’s Education and Inclusion Therapy Service is seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist to assess and intervene with children in educational settings. The role includes collaboration with staff and families, contributing to EHCPs, and providing supervision to the team.

Responsibilities also cover training, quality improvement, and policy development, with some home or remote working and travel across a Hampshire patch.

Qualifications

• Deliver specialist occupational therapy assessments and evidence-based interventions for children and young people in educational settings.
• Develop and implement child-centred support plans with education staff and families.
• Contribute to EHCP assessments, reviews and reporting, including tribunal and care planning documentation.
• Provide clinical and managerial supervision to Occupational Therapists in the team.
• Build capacity through training, consultation and tailored programmes within schools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions in schools and at home when appropriate.
• Collaborate with education staff, families and multi-agency professionals on support plans.
• Contribute to EHCP processes and related documentation.
• Supervise other therapists within the team.
• Deliver training and consultancy to schools to build capacity.
