Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a SEND Support Worker to support pupils aged 5–19 with a range of needs at a Dorking area school. The role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities and requires a patient, caring and proactive individual who can create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with EHCPs, support emotional wellbeing and liaise with teachers and professionals. Training in moving, handling and PEG feeding is provided.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills essential for working with children with additional needs.
• Patient, caring and non-judgemental approach to supporting learners.
• Ability to adapt communication to individual needs of pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils aged 5–19 with PMLD.
• Assist with delivery of Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Support emotional wellbeing, communication and social development.
• Communicate clearly with teachers, staff and external professionals.
• Assist with personal care if required ( Moving and Handling, Toileting, PEG Feeding; training provided).
• Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
