Job summary

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Education Mental Health Practitioner or CYP Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Milton Keynes MHST team. You will deliver low intensity CBT-based interventions in schools, assess young people, and link to specialist services when needed.

You will work with schools, families and carers, providing training and consultation to improve whole-school mental health approaches and early identification of needs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or CYP Wellbeing Practitioner with post-graduate qualification.
• Registered with a relevant professional body or pending completion.
• Experience of working with children and young people in healthcare or school settings.
• Experience with anxiety, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver low intensity evidence-based interventions for children and young people in education settings.
• Assist more severe cases to rapidly access specialist services.
• Support education staff to identify and manage mental health and wellbeing issues.
• Provide training and consultation to schools and external agencies about child mental health.
