Job summary

CNWL NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Senior Mental Health Practitioner for the MHST to work with Brent schools, delivering short-term evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression, and to their families.

You will manage referrals, perform clinical triage and assessments, provide supervision to junior staff, maintain documentation, and help embed a whole-school approach to wellbeing across Brent education settings.

Qualifications

• Experience in child and adolescent mental health is desirable.
• Ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds and use interpreters when needed.
• Commitment to equal opportunities and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Form strong working relations with schools and educational settings.
• Provide training and supervision to junior staff and trainees.
• Deliver evidence-based, time-limited interventions to CYP and parents.
• Conduct thorough assessments, risk assessments and care planning.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and complete Routine Outcome Measures.
• Contribute to group supervision and service development within Brent.
