Job summary

East London NHS Foundation Trust in Newham is recruiting four full-time Children & Young People’s CBT Practitioners to join the Wellbeing in Newham Schools Team (MHST). The post requires EMHP registration and involves delivering CBT interventions within local schools, alongside collaboration with families and partner agencies.

You will work within Newham CAMHS WINS delivering assessments and interventions, supported by senior colleagues as the service develops in a multi-ethnic community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a relevant subject e.g. psychology
• AND a registerable professional qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. EMHP, CWP, CBT Therapy) from a UK university or overseas professional qualification of an equivalent standard
• Evidence of continuous and relevant professional training and development (CPD), as appropriate with qualification period

Responsibilities

• Delivery of CBT based interventions for mild-to-moderate mental health issues in educational settings, as per MHST model
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with professionals, agencies, charities and teams serving children and young people in the community
• Contribute to MHST core functions: deliver evidence-based interventions, support whole school approach, advise staff and liaise with external services
