Job summary

Aspire People is partnering with a large SEN school in Oldham to recruit School‑Based Care Assistants for pupils across primary and secondary ages with PMLD and complex needs. The role involves compassionate, consistent care throughout the school day to enable learners to engage with education.

You will support personal care, mobility, feeding and medical needs under supervision, working closely with teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or healthcare settings is ideal
• Ability to follow individual care plans
• Comfort with personal care and daily routines

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care in line with individual care plans
• Support pupils with mobility and physical needs
• Assist with feeding and hydration, including special feeding plans
• Support pupils with medical needs following training
• Safely use specialist equipment and resources
• Support sensory and therapeutic activities
• Monitor pupils’ health and wellbeing and report concerns
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, hygiene and dignity
