Job summary

E-ACT The Oldham Academy North is seeking an Attendance Officer to promote excellent attendance and punctuality across the academy. You will provide administrative support for attendance processes, maintain records, analyse attendance data and support interventions that remove barriers to regular attendance.

You will build positive relationships with students and parents, contribute to safeguarding responsibilities, and work with external agencies to ensure pupils reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Experience in attendance management within a school environment.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication with students, families and staff.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate attendance and punctuality records.
• Manage first-day absence procedures and follow up on unauthorised absences.
• Produce and analyse attendance reports to support improvements.
• Collaborate with students, parents, staff and external agencies to promote attendance.
• Support safeguarding procedures in line with academy policies.
