Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a School Admin Assistant in Stoke-On-Trent to join a welcoming school on a full-time basis with a September start. The role offers long-term, short-term or temp-to-perm placement options.

You will provide essential admin support, manage records and communications, and help maintain an efficient office environment. Training and ongoing support are provided through Milk Education.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the school office and SLT.
  • Answer calls, respond to emails, and welcome visitors.
  • Manage pupil records, attendance and data entry.
  • Assist with filing, photocopying and correspondence.
  • Support admissions, parent communications and day-to-day admin.
  • Ensure confidentiality and GDPR compliance.

School Admin Assistant - Stoke-On-Trent

We're currently recruiting for a School Admin Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Stoke-On-Trent on a long-term, short-term or temp-to-perm basis, starting in September.

You’ll be joining a school that prides itself on creating a positive, inclusive environment where pupils, staff and families are at the heart of everything they do. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous school administration experience, or a strong administrative background looking to move into education.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Providing administrative support to the school office and senior leadership team.
  • Answering telephone calls, responding to emails and welcoming visitors to the school.
  • Managing pupil records, attendance and general data entry using school management systems.
  • Supporting with filing, photocopying, correspondence and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assisting with admissions, communications to parents and general day-to-day office administration.
  • Ensuring confidential information is handled professionally and in line with GDPR.
Requirements or Skills:
  • Previous administration experience, ideally within a school or education setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and school management systems such as SIMS or Arbor (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a busy office environment.
  • A professional, approachable and friendly manner.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
