Job summary

Once For All Limited is seeking a Sustainability & Compliance Lead to drive operational processes for our schemes and support contractors, teams, and external stakeholders. You will deliver CPD and training across the business, promote best practice, and help strengthen our market leadership in governance and supply chain compliance.

You will represent the company at UK events, develop guidance materials, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements while enabling continuous improvement

Qualifications

In-depth understanding of sustainability management and related regulations.
Proven experience in developing compliance or assurance frameworks.
Auditor qualification with minimum 3 years’ experience (IRCA preferred).
Knowledge of procurement, compliance and risk management.
Understanding of PQQ processes.

Responsibilities

Act as SME in development, implementation and review of operational processes for sustainability schemes.
Lead continual development of processes supporting the schemes.
Create guidance materials, tools and resources for applicants and assessors.
Design and deliver seminars and webinars to promote understanding of sustainability requirements.

Job description

Once For All is a high-growth, cloud-based, SaaS subscription business. Our technology helps our customers to manage their supply chain governance, risk management and compliance. We work across public and private sector and have over 250k customers across the UK across 20 different sectors including construction, transport, retail, hospitality education, facility and property management, manufacturing, local and central government.

Role Summary

To be the operational subject matter expert for the sustainability scheme product and related schemes ,continually developing and refining the operational processes that underpin our excellent service delivery. The role will actively support main contractors, internal teams, and external stakeholders in understanding and meeting the requirements of the schemes, driving adoption and best practice across the supply chain.

The role will also be responsible for delivering training and ongoing CPD to internal teams to enhance knowledge, capability, and confidence in applying sustainability and compliance principles. Additionally, the role will represent the organisation at industry events and forums across the UK to promote awareness, share insights, and strengthen our position as a trusted authority on sustainability and supply chain compliance.

Job Responsibilities

Sustainability and Compliance Leadership

Act as the subject matter expert in the development, implementation, and continual review of our operational processes, ensuring full alignment with statutory requirements and the criteria of the Sustainability Scheme, while supporting our other products and schemes, including Constructionline and Facilitiesline.
Lead on the continual development and refinement of operational processes that support the schemes.
Develop and maintain clear, practical guidance materials, supporting tools, and resources to help applicants and assessors navigate the schemes and assessment process with confidence and consistency.
Design and deliver seminars, webinars, and awareness sessions to promote understanding of sustainability management, responsibilities and requirements among applicants, suppliers, and contractors.
Provide expert advice and support to main contractors and external stakeholders to improve understanding, compliance, and adoption of sustainable management and compliance requirements across the supply chain.
Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and forums across the UK, promoting awareness, sharing insights, and strengthening our position as a trusted authority in sustainability, compliance and supply chain risk management.
Responsible for the testing of new features and functionalities of existing schemes or the implementation of new schemes relating to operational processes and procedures.

Training, Development & Continuous Improvement

Deliver training and ongoing CPD to internal teams to enhance capability, confidence, and understanding of sustainability and compliance requirements.
Work with Team Leaders and the Operational Governance Team to identify training needs and areas for improvement across all schemes.
Support the continual improvement of assessment processes and services, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality in delivery.

Governance, Assurance & Stakeholder Engagement

Ensure internal processes are followed in line with scheme governance and compliance requirements, supporting the maintenance of company certifications and accreditations (ISO 9001 and 17020 Standards).
Deputise for the Scheme Compliance Manager as Deputy Technical Manager for certifications and accreditations as required.
Support other areas of the Operational Governance Team in project and operational delivery, contributing technical expertise to cross-functional initiatives.
Conduct formal investigations, analysing data and trends to identify root causes, determine resolutions, and report on outcomes.

External Engagement

Support and represent the organisation at Marketplace Live and other external industry events, promoting engagement and awareness of sustainability obligations and services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and continual improvement.
Actively contribute to the promotion and wider adoption of sustainability best practices through presentations, publications, and participation in relevant forums.

Championing AI

Champion the use of AI integration into the development and management of the scheme
Use AI tools to create, develop and maintain scheme documentation and performance reports

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

In-depth understanding of sustainability management, related regulations (Procurement Act, Environment Act, Environmental Protection Act, Climate Change Act), and corporate disclosures, reporting, and rules.
Proven experience in developing compliance or assurance frameworks and guidance materials.
Auditor qualification with minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably IRCA recognised (Lead Auditor an advantage).
Minimum of a level 3 qualification in sustainability and environmental management (or related subject) with demonstratable experience.
A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of procurement, compliance and risk management.
A comprehensive knowledge of PQQ processes.

Desirable Technical Knowledge & Qualifications

Degree level qualification in a related subject (business management, environment, finance, risk management, renewables, etc.).
NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
Experience working in, or knowledge of facilities management.
Experience working in, or knowledge of, rail, oil & gas, or energy
