Job summary

Hightown Housing Association in St Albans is seeking a compassionate Scheme Manager to lead two adult homelessness services (Martin House and Hatfield Road). You will provide strategic direction, ensure safety and high-quality, trauma-informed support, and maintain robust housing management.

You will supervise staff, manage rotas and performance, uphold safeguarding standards, and build strong partnerships with local authorities and external agencies to deliver person-centred outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in homelessness, supported housing or similar.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, housing and complex needs.

Scheme Manager - Adult Homelessness Services
Location: St Albans (Martin House & Hatfield Road)
Hours: 37.5 per week (rota)
Salary: £34,320 per annum

Lead with purpose and make a difference

We’re seeking a compassionate Scheme Manager to lead our adult homelessness services, supporting individuals to rebuild their lives in safe, inclusive environments.

About the role

You will manage two supported housing schemes:

• Martin House: 16 self-contained flats for adults with support needs, focused on independence and recovery
• Hatfield Road: 5-bed shared HMO for men with lower support needs

You will ensure both services are safe, compliant and deliver high-quality, person-centred, trauma-informed support.

• 33 days annual leave (rising with service)
• £34,320 per annum with performance bonus’s
