Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Production Manager to lead a 100+ strong team in a mechanical assembly environment near Manchester. You will drive production outputs safely, on time and to specification, using KPIs and data to improve processes and scale operations.

Reporting to the MD, you will optimise flow, reduce waste and embed standardised procedures. This role offers progression as the company expands and a clear opportunity to impact the business positively.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a large team to improve and scale operation performance.
• Data driven with an improvement focus.
• Experience driving change and embedding a continuous improvements culture.
• Experience in a mechanical assembly environment.

Responsibilities

• Delivering production safely, on time and to specification.
• Increasing throughput, capacity and labour productivity.
• Optimising production flow, factory layout and assembly processes.
• Improving schedule adherence and on:time delivery.
• Reducing WIP, bottlenecks, waste and manufacturing lead times.
• Embedding standardised work and robust assembly procedures.
• Driving right:first:time quality and reducing rework.
• Developing Team Leaders and building a high:performing production team.
• Establishing a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Using meaningful KPIs and data to drive daily performance.
