Job summary

Morgan McKinley (South West) is seeking a hands-on Production Engineer to support scale-up, industrialisation, and day-to-day manufacturing of next-generation fluidic products in Oxfordshire. You will bridge R&D and production by building, wiring, and commissioning fixtures, automated test equipment, and robotic cells.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical/electrical/mechatronics background, practical wiring and assembly skills, and familiarity with 3D CAD, schematics, and sensors.

Qualifications

• Degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Hands-on workshop experience wiring, building, and troubleshooting electromechanical machinery.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD, electrical schematics, and industrial sensors/actuators.

Responsibilities

• Process Scale-Up: Support the transfer of new products into production, tuning processes like precision dispensing, laser welding, and leak testing.
• Workshop & Hardware: Build, wire, debug, and maintain mechanical fixtures, electrical enclosures, sensors, and basic PLC/HMI controls.
• Validation & Quality: Assist with equipment validation (FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ) and continuous improvement using root-cause analysis and SPC tools.
