Job summary

eTeam is looking for a Scala Developer to support Government Gateway and Fraud Prevention Centre work in a live services team. You will design, develop, and maintain Scala microservices, often using the Play Framework, inside an Agile environment.

• Strong commercial experience with Scala and functional programming patterns.
• SC security clearance is required to support this work.

Responsibilities

• Build Microservices: Design, develop, and enhance Scala-based microservices (often utilizing the Play Framework).
• Agile Delivery: Collaborate within multidisciplinary Agile teams. Work with developers, testers, product managers, and other roles in Agile environments.
• Quality & Testing: Write clean, testable, and efficient code to build front and backend services and APIs.
• Operations: Support and operate production services throughout the full development lifecycle, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
