Job summary

Synergize Consulting Ltd. is seeking an experienced SC Cleared Scala Developer to support critical government infrastructure projects. The role combines on-site work in Telford (2 days) with remote work (3 days) in a hybrid delivery model, within an Agile team. You will deliver scalable microservices and APIs, ensure code quality, and support live services in production.

Active SC clearance is required for this position, with a 6-month initial contract and potential extension.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing applications using Scala.
• Solid understanding of functional programming principles and patterns.
• Experience designing and building microservices and APIs.
• Familiarity with the Play Framework.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
• A strong focus on code quality, testing and maintainable software.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting live production services.
• Valid SC security clearance is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Microservices Development: Design, develop and enhance Scala-based microservices, often using the Play Framework.

We are seeking an experienced SC Cleared Scala Developer to support critical national infrastructure projects across public sector.
