Job summary

BOSS Professional Services seeks a Scala Developer to support Government Gateway and Fraud Prevention Centre work in the UK. This Inside IR35 role requires an active SC clearance and offers a day rate of £570.

You will join a live services team in an Agile environment, design and build Scala microservices (Play Framework), write tests, and ensure production readiness across the full development life cycle.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Scala and functional programming patterns.
• SC security clearance is required to support this work.

Responsibilities

• Build Microservices: Design, develop, and enhance Scala-based microservices (often utilizing the Play Framework).
• Agile Delivery: Collaborate within multidisciplinary Agile teams. Work with developers, testers, product managers, and other roles in Agile environments.
• Quality & Testing: Write clean, testable, and efficient code to build front and Back End services and APIs.
• Operations: Support and operate production services throughout the full development life cycle, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
