Job summary

LA International Computer Consultants Ltd is seeking a Scala Developer for a 6-month contract in Telford with remote options. You will design, develop and extend Scala-based microservices, often using Play Framework, in an agile environment.

You should have strong commercial Scala experience and be comfortable with functional programming and building production services; candidates with active or past high-level security clearance are encouraged to apply, as clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Scala and functional programming patterns.
• Experience building microservices and APIs in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Build Microservices: Design, develop, and enhance Scala-based microservices (often utilizing the Play Framework).
• Agile Delivery: Collaborate within multidisciplinary Agile teams. Work with developers, testers, product managers, and other roles in Agile environments.
• Quality & Testing: Write clean, testable, and efficient code to build front and Back End services and APIs.
• Operations: Support and operate production services throughout the full development life cycle, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
