Job description

As a SCADA Tester, you will be responsible for testing design and execution to ensure complete test coverage. You will monitor and report on the progress of test preparation and execution of JIRA/XRAY Tests (and associated test plans) using the defined processes.

Key responsibilities:

1. Understand functional design and ensure that tests meet the requirements fully.
2. Design and execute tests to ensure comprehensive coverage.
3. Ensure testing conducted by third-party suppliers fulfills client delivery requirements.
4. Collaborate within Scrum teams, including the Product Owner (PO) and SCADA SMEs / Business testers, to ensure user stories and tests fully capture test requirements.
5. Monitor and report on the progress of test preparation and execution of JIRA/XRAY Tests.
6. Identify and manage risks and issues related to testing.
7. Develop action plans to address issues identified during testing and lead problem-solving activities.
8. Lead defect triage for your ART team, ensuring stakeholder engagement.
9. Ensure testing follows a consistent approach and is managed within the central test tools according to the test strategy, approach, and phase plans.

Your Profile

Essential skills, knowledge, and experience:

• Experience with SCADA systems, preferably in electricity transmission (e.g., OSI Monarch or similar).
• Experience in SCADA and real-time control systems, including NMS.
• Experience working on SCADA projects for power utilities, particularly in testing.
• Knowledge of testing, including middleware like Oracle MFT and Mulesoft APIs.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to power and control systems (e.g., IEC101, IEC104, IEC 61850, IEEE standards).
• Experience working within Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with test management tools such as JIRA or HP-ALM.
• Experience in power utility transmission networks, including alarm management, work pack management, and change management.
• Strong testing experience, including SIT, SAT, and FAT.
• Strong skills in test design, development, documentation, and defect management.
