SCADA (External Dependency Tester) - 6 months - Inside IR35 - Hybrid in Warwick

An experienced External Dependency Test Lead (EDTL) is required to coordinate and lead multiple test phases and manage complex system dependencies across a critical SCADA migration programme for a major UK electricity transmission organisation. The role will ensure quality-driven, well-governed testing across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with a focus on integration, external systems, and Real Time operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and validate the quality and completeness of test scripts, evidence, and reports from all connected systems and test stages.
• Plan, estimate, prepare, and execute non-Agile test phases including Point-to-Point, Automation, STRC, Validation and UAT.
• Work closely with SCRUM SMEs to ensure Agile support is available for Waterfall testing stages.
• Collaborate with platform teams to ensure connected systems are tested (including regression) and results are shared with the core test team.
• Review and validate the quality and completeness of test scripts, evidence, and reports from all connected systems and test stages.
• Ensure test progress and outcomes are accurately reported using tools like JIRA, XRAY, Excel, and Power BI.

What you will ideally bring:

• Minimum 5 years' experience leading UAT and customer-facing test stages across both Agile (SCRUM) and traditional Waterfall delivery models.
• Strong skills in developing comprehensive test plans, estimating test effort, writing test cases/scripts, and documenting results.
• Hands-on experience managing defects, triaging issues, ensuring traceability, and driving timely resolution.
• Experience coordinating test environments and managing external system dependencies

Contract Details:

• Duration: 6 months
• Location: 3x a week in Warwick
• Daily Rate: Up to GBP425 Per Day (Inside IR35)
