Job summary

UK Power Networks is seeking an Ops Telecoms Technician for the Networks Operations team in the Chatham area, with distributed working. The role involves installation, wiring, and repair of SCADA and telecoms equipment, ensuring 24/7 availability of critical infrastructure across multiple sites.

Expect travel to various locations to support engineers and operations. The position includes a medical and DBS check, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Essential electrical/electronic theory and SCADA knowledge.
Ability to interpret schematics and test/test equipment.
Proficiency with laptop-based configuration and testing of comms/SCADA gear.

Responsibilities

Maintain SCADA/comms across Grid, Primary and Secondary substations.
Install, wire, modify and repair SCADA equipment.
Travel to different locations and work autonomously to restore services.
