Job summary

SR2 REC LTD is seeking an experienced Technical / Solution Architect to shape technology solutions in a government-facing environment. You will turn business needs into practical designs and drive architecture decisions from discovery to delivery, with AWS and security at the core.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, engineers and partners, producing HLDs/LLDs and guiding teams through governance rounds to ensure alignment with approved architectures.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience as a Technical or Solution Architect with accountability.
• Active SC clearance or recently used within 12 months.
• Experience designing AWS cloud solutions.
• Proven ability to produce HLDs/LLDs and options papers.
• Experience securing architecture governance approvals.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with senior decision-makers.
• Experience working with engineering teams, suppliers and business functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution design through the delivery lifecycle.
• Produce high-level and low-level designs and options papers.
• Run discovery and design workshops with stakeholders.
• Present proposals to design authorities and gain approval.
• Guide engineering teams to ensure delivery aligns with designs.
• Identify architectural risks and embed security and performance.
