Job summary

Viqu Limited is seeking a Server Engineer with active SC clearance to join our infrastructure team in Central London. You will manage a large-scale Windows server estate, implementing modernization and security improvements while ensuring high availability.

The role is hybrid, requiring 2–3 days on site each week. You will work across VMware vSphere, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and PowerShell automation to support enterprise services.

Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance is required.
• Experience administering Windows Server in a large enterprise environment.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with VMware vSphere; Hyper-V experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Experience in patch management, OS upgrades, security hardening and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

• Server Infrastructure: Build, configure, deploy, maintain and retire Windows servers across physical and virtual environments.
• Microsoft & Virtualisation: Administer enterprise Windows Server environments with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy and VMware vSphere.
• Automation & Infrastructure Improvement: Create and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administration.
• Troubleshooting & Security: Diagnose infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, implement patching and security hardening.
• Projects & Operational Support: Support server refreshes, migrations and upgrades; follow ITIL processes; participate in on-call rota.
