Job summary

North Highland is seeking an SC-cleared Programme Management Office Support professional to establish and maintain the programme office for the National Police Service programme within our Public Safety Group.

You will provide essential support across planning, governance, risk management and reporting, helping coordinate activities and maintain high governance standards in a fast-moving public sector environment.

Qualifications

• SC clearance required or readily obtainable.
• Experience in a programme management or project management environment.
• Knowledge of central government working practices and governance frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and programme management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the Programme Manager and programme office team.
• Assist in developing and maintaining programme documentation, including plans, schedules, and governance records.
• Coordinate programme meetings, workshops, and steering groups.
• Identify, assess and monitor programme risks and issues; escalate as needed.
• Contribute to establishing programme processes and procedures.
• Maintain records and manage programme information systems.
• Support communication between programme stakeholders.
• Prepare programme reports and status updates.
• Ensure compliance with governance standards and procedures.
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities.
