Job summary

RTL Group Ltd in Wimbledon is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager with active SC Security Clearance to join a major commercial construction project on site.

You will manage mechanical building services installation, supervise subcontractors, ensure works meet drawings, specs and programme while maintaining safety and quality.

The role demands strong leadership and coordination across trades, with focus on inspections, commissioning and handover activities to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Site Manager on commercial construction projects.
• Current, valid SC Security Clearance.
• SMSTS
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services including HVAC, pipework, plant and related systems.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant mechanical qualifications and site health and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all mechanical building services installation works on site.
• Supervise mechanical subcontractors, engineers and site operatives.
• Ensure works are delivered in line with project drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
• Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, structural and other construction trades.
• Monitor progress, productivity, quality and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates to the project management team.
• Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Ensure all works comply with relevant industry standards, project procedures and client requirements.
