Job summary

SR2 REC LTD is seeking a Senior GCP DevOps Engineer to shape and validate a secure, scalable Google Cloud Platform environment within a large, regulated organisation. The role sits with the Cloud Architect, focusing on landing zones, governance, security and automation in a hybrid London setting.

You will review the current GCP estate, test approaches, and translate target designs into practical engineering recommendations, delivering secure and well-governed platforms ready for implementation.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience engineering enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform environments.
• Experience managing GCP organisations, projects and access controls across complex estates.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, organisation policies, audit logging and Security Command Center.
• Advanced Terraform and Infrastructure as Code capability.
• Experience designing or implementing GCP landing zones and cloud governance models.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Fabric or similar landing-zone frameworks.
• CI/CD experience, ideally with GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, platform engineering and governance principles.
• Previous experience working in UK Government, the public sector or another highly regulated setting.
• Active SC clearance.

• Highlight technical risks, dependencies and implementation considerations, providing clear recommendations for transition into delivery.
