Job description

AM2PM is currently recruiting for an experienced saw operator to join our client's growing automotive team. Our client is looking for a candidate who is willing to learn and develop new skills in the automotive industry.

Job duties include:

• Cutting materials required for work orders.
• Maintaining cleanliness in the saw and racking areas.
• Assisting the store person with checking and booking in extrusions.
• Performing 3 cycle counts of materials per day as directed by the Factory Supervisor.
• Requesting stock of UK materials in a timely manner.
• Understanding lead times from various suppliers.
• Using re-order points provided.
• Reporting any unauthorized use of materials to the Supervisor.
• Storing materials correctly and safely.
• Using full part numbers for identification.
• Accurately recording and scrapping materials as needed.
• Producing a stock order by 16:00 every Thursday and submitting it to the Material Manager.
• Attending meetings as required.
• Undertaking any additional tasks assigned by the Manager or Director.

Candidate requirements:

• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Experience in operating a saw.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills in different areas.
• Ability to commute to Telford.
